We are seeking a versatile and experienced Network Engineer / System Administrator who can also provide hands-on desktop support. This role is responsible for maintaining and optimizing our network, servers, security systems, and end-user infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience managing multiple IT platforms and tools including RingCentral, Verizon, Wireless Watchdogs, Duo, Ninja, IT Glue, and other systems listed below.
You'll play a key role in ensuring network reliability, managing patch cycles, supporting end users across our IT ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
Network and Systems Administration
Maintain and support core network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs).
Administer servers and apply regular patches, updates, and backups.
Manage and optimize connectivity and devices across Verizon, Wireless Watchdogs, and Spectrum.
Maintain and configure Duo for multi-factor authentication.
Use EndPoint Central for system monitoring, remote management, and patch deployment.
Security and Access Management
Support door access systems.
Manage endpoint protection.
Work with Abnormal for email and network threat protection.
Ensure compliance with cybersecurity best practices and company policies.
User and Desktop Support
Provide tier 2-3 desktop and application support for end users.
Manage user onboarding/offboarding and license allocation through O365 License Management.
Document procedures and system configurations in IT Glue.
Procurement and Vendor Coordination•
Interface with vendors including Dell Premier Portal, Amazon Business, Visual Edge, and Spectrum Support for IT procurement and service requests.
Manage hardware lifecycle, warranties, and software renewals.
Application and Business System Support
Provide general support for line-of-business applications such as EPDM/SolidWorks, and CP/SP.
Support alert and communication platforms such as SendWordNow.
Qualifications:
Required:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT administration, networking, or desktop support.
Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and VPNs.
Experience managing Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and endpoint management tools.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred:
Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator.
Experience with VoIP systems (RingCentral) and mobile device management.
Familiarity with ERP (Syteline) and engineering software environments (SolidWorks).
