Job Description
Position: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Virginia Beach primarily, float to Chesapeake as needed
Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8am-5pm No nights, weekends, holidays or call required.

Bayview Physicians Group is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic imaging and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with professional standards, organizational policies, and safety protocols.

Bayview Physicians Group is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic imaging and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with professional standards, organizational policies, and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review patient history and physician orders; explain procedures to ensure patient understanding and comfort.
- Prepare, administer, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals in compliance with protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment; perform safety checks and troubleshoot issues.
- Position patients, perform scans, and assess image quality—taking corrective action when necessary.
- Accurately document, transmit, and report scan results.
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program.
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through NMTCB or
Registered Technologist (RT-NM) through ARRT. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Registered Radiologic Technologist certification preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
