The Nebraska Biocontainment Unit (NBU) is a 10 bed, mixed acuity unit for patients of all ages and conditions who are infected with a special pathogen disease.
We also staff the National Quarantine Unit in the Davis Global Center, the only one in the United States.
This exciting opportunity will allow you to be part of an elite team that works and trains on a national level. Being part of this team will allow or encourage you to purse an interest in special pathogen infections such as Ebola Virus Disease, Lassa Fever, Nipah virus and other emerging diseases.
Team members are provided with training on infection control strategies and undergo advanced training on the proper use of PPE, biocontainment skills, resiliency and much more.

Exempt role- 1.0FTE
Develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate processes to meet the educational, development and competency need of nursing and nursing support staff through effective use of a variety of learning activities. Align activities with programs and processes the standardized functions for Nursing Professional Development.
