Eliot is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist - Fee for Service to join our Early Intervention (EI) division. Eliot's Early Intervention Program (EI) supports children from birth to three years of age with developmental delays or disabilities in the Everett, Malden, and Medford areas. Our multidisciplinary team delivers community-based therapeutic interventions using a coaching model with parents and caregivers.

The ideal candidate will have experience in infancy/early childhood, the willingness to travel and the ability to work a flexible work schedule in a fast paced environment contingent upon the child's and families needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Observe and evaluate  children to assist with identifying functional goals and interventions
  • Provide intervention in the areas of postural control, mobility, muscle tone, range of motion, sensory integration, perceptual motor, oral motor, and activities of daily living.
  • Develop and ensure follow-up to treatment goals in the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP).
  • Offer training, input and guidance to the Team that promotes client independence   
  • Observe and evaluate clients to identify conditions and needs, collaborating with the team to determine effective actions
  • Serve as a resource to educate clients, their families, and other supports about the client’s condition and needs
  • Facilitate communication within the team and with external supports, including medical services, psychiatric services, care coordination entities, family members, and other involved providers
  • Participate in assessments and treatment plan development

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a current OTR/L license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • Experience working with children 0-3 years of age with developmental delays or disabilities
  • Valid Massachusetts drivers license and reliable transportation
  • Bilingual preferred. Bilingual candidates fluent in a needed language may be eligible for a 6% salary increase

Schedule: Flexible hours Monday-Friday between 9am-5pm

Hourly Rate

$60 - $60 USD
