The Challenge (Job Summary)

As an Occupational Therapist for NOMS Healthcare, you are responsible for the evaluation, planning, directing, and administering of occupational therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. 

Your Day to Day & Essential Functions:

  • You will comply with HIPAA and OSHA regulatory requirements.
  • You will administer treatments and occupational agents as prescribed by a referring physician in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability. 
  • You will assist patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. 
  •  You will ensure that any changes in patient status are documented accurately and on a timely basis.  
  • The staff OT participates in operational aspects of the department maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in all Quality Assurance activities. 
  • The staff therapist coordinates delegates and supervises responsibilities assigned to support staff (COTA, Rehab Techs). 
  • You will provide input in formulating budget, assists in evaluating department performance versus budget controls and takes appropriate action to remain in budget guidelines.
  • You will participate in all infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety and fire safety programs.

  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality
  • High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.

Education and Work Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree.
  2. Licensed in the State of Ohio
