Job Description
At Chatterbox Speech and Language Clinic, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to children and families in need of communication and developmental support. Our multidisciplinary team of speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and other professionals work collaboratively to support each client's individual growth and potential in a warm, welcoming, and play-based environment.
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified Occupational Therapist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with pediatric populations and a strong understanding of sensory integration, fine motor development, and functional daily living skills. You will work closely with other therapists and families to deliver individualized treatment plans that empower children to participate fully in everyday activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments for pediatric clients
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each child's specific needs
Provide direct therapy services targeting fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care skills, and more
Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, parents, teachers, and other professionals to support therapy goals
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, progress notes, and reports
Educate and support families with home programs and strategies for continued development
Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing professional development
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Current and valid license (or eligibility for licensure) to practice Occupational Therapy in [State/Province]
Pediatric experience preferred; new grads with strong clinical internships are welcome to apply
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Passion for working with children and families in a collaborative setting
CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
