Metron is seeking a highly motivated, professional, and technically savvy Office Administrator who will be responsible for the day-to-day administrative and facility tasks at our headquarters, located in Reston, VA. The ideal candidate has professional experience in a fast-paced office environment and will quickly learn Metron's office systems and procedures. The Office Administrator works collaboratively with both employees and external service providers to help maintain smooth operations of the office. The role is a full-time, in-person position (40 hours/week).

Essential Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing front desk operations to include answering multi-line phones, greeting employees, and visitor control
  • Supporting company meetings by configuring conference rooms and coordinating catering
  • Coordinating shipping and receiving of packages, and sorting incoming and outgoing mail
  • Ordering, maintaining, and distributing all office and pantry supplies
  • Assisting with maintenance of common areas by communicating with building management and service providers
  • Providing administrative support, as needed

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Motivated self-starter with ability to work independently
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook
  • US Citizenship is required, with the ability to obtain a US Security clearance

Desired Qualifications and Skills

  • At least 2 years of related experience in a professional office environment
  • Associate's degree in relevant field
  • Active DOD SECRET level clearance

Physical Demands

  • Ability to work in office, Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm
  • Ability to consistently push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25lbs
  • Ability to occasionally push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 50lbs
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another
