About Sparx Hockey
At Sparx Hockey, we're changing the game — literally. Our innovative skate sharpening technology is trusted by players from youth hockey to the pros, helping athletes perform at their best. We're looking for a Part-Time Office Manager to keep our operations running smoothly and our workplace efficient, organized, and welcoming. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented environment and enjoys wearing multiple hats.
What You'll Do
Office & Facility Management
- Ensure the office remains a clean, safe, and productive space for our team.
- Serve as the point person for office operations, maintenance, and supplies.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers (cleaning, building management, repairs, etc.).
- Oversee minor facility and equipment maintenance or repairs.
- Assist in organizing and executing company meetings, events, and team gatherings.
Administrative & Operational Support
- Manage incoming mail, deliveries, and general correspondence.
- Maintain office and equipment inventories, placing orders as needed.
- Keep shared documents and filing systems up to date and well organized.
- Assist with onboarding new team members (welcome kits, workspace setups, etc.).
Culture & Communication
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and team-first environment.
- Help plan company events, volunteer days, and team celebrations.
- Be a friendly, helpful presence for employees and visitors alike.
Who You Are
- 2+ years of experience in office management.
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
- Extreme attention to detail.
- A proactive problem solver who takes initiative and ownership.
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude.
- Passion for hockey or familiarity with the sport is a plus!
Details
- Hours: 15 hours per week (approx. 3-4 hours per day, 5 days/week), with the possibility for room to grow.
- Location:On-site at our Acton, MA headquarters 5 days/week.
