Superior Completion Services is excited to seek an Offshore Tool Specialist 3 for our Lafayette, LA office.
Our Offshore Tool Specialist- 3 drives the successful planning and installation of advanced downhole completion equipment, ensuring flawless execution at the wellsite. Serves as a technical leader by mentoring and training junior Tool Specialists and Associate Engineers, strengthening team capability and knowledge. Plays a critical role in delivering high-performance completions by expertly installing specialized downhole tools and technologies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pre-planning tool jobs
- Supervising the tool job at customer locations
- Installing downhole equipment in customers' wells
- Single and Multi-zone gravel pack completions
- Assist senior-level Tool Specialist with deepwater completions
- Frac Pack and HRWP Pack gravel pack completions
- Packer retrieval completions
- Documentation of final equipment placement and serial numbers for traceability, field invoicing, and equipment logistics
- Maintaining a safe working environment for the area of responsibility

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
- A minimum of seven years related experience and/or training, preferably in the oil and gas industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Proficiency Requirements desired:
Offshore rig mechanics and layout
Downhole principles
Excel and Word computer skills
Sand Control techniques and formulas
Frac Pack and HRWP gravel pack completions
Packer retrieval completions
Pre-job invoice and load out, and delivery records
Post job documentation
Current practices and technology used in the oil and gas industry
Knowledge, competency, and experience in the related field
Knowledge relating to completion services procedures and processes
Current practices, equipment, materials, and supplies used in the completion tools business
Ethical business practices
Good verbal and written communication, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
Building and maintaining positive customer relationships, internal or external
Identifying problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
Determining the necessary resources, time, and materials of a project
Planning and tracking project timelines

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Sitting - for extended periods without being able to leave the work area.
- Standing - for extended periods of time without being able to leave the work area.
- Climbing - ladders, scaffolding, work in overhead areas, etc.
- Walking - considerable distances, please indicate.
- Lifting- Up to 50 Lbs. maximum & frequent.
- Pulling and/or pushing - on a frequent basis.
- Carrying - regularly carries objects in his/her arms or on the shoulder(s).
- Grasping - regularly picks up objects with fingers.
- Reaching - regularly required to use hands and arms to reach objects.
- Stooping/Crouching - regularly required to bend forward by bending at the waist or by bending legs and spine.
