Job Title: On-Call Safety & Security Specialist
Team: Safety and Security
Reports To: Safety and Security Manager
Location: Reno, NV
Compensation Range: 20.85 - 31.27 Hourly
Patagonia is looking for an experienced, compassionate, highly motivated individual who is willing to work flexible shifts and assist in all areas of Safety & Security. This is a new role that must embody Patagonia's unique culture and demonstrate an open and inclusive approach to making sure everyone who has contact with Patagonia feels safe and welcome. Success will require a demonstrated commitment to ensuring Patagonia consistently offers a just and equitable work environment, whether on site at the Reno locations or while working remotely.
What You'll Do/Job Functions:
Monitors & patrols multiple sites on foot and/or bicycle, checks for unsafe conditions, hazards etc.
Responds to incidents of work-related injury, medical emergency, fire, threats, suspicious activity etc.
Observe and report activities and incidents.
Controls & monitors access into all buildings.
Prepare accurate logs and reports as needed.
Works closely with other security personnel, management, employees & visitors.
Learn and understand basic OSHA and Fire laws.
More specific duties will be discussed during interview process.

Experience You Bring/Job Requirements:
2+ years combined experience in physical security, law enforcement, military, community outreach, customer service and/or emergency response coordination.
Be at least 18 years of age with at least a high school education or equivalent (GED).
Possess a valid driver's license.
Demonstrated commitment to advancing racial justice and equity.

Ability to obtain a State of Nevada PILB (Nevada Private investigation Licensing Board) Guard Card.
Ability to pass and maintain 1st Aid, CPR & AED certifications.
Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time and lift up to 50lbs.
Ability to learn, understand and apply basic OSHA and Fire laws.
Basic computer skills & knowledge (Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Zoom).
Knowledge & understanding of CCTV systems.
Knowledge & understanding of access control systems (Brivo).
Physical Requirements:
Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and/or abilities. To perform this job successfully, the incumbent will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently. Some requirements may exclude individuals who pose a direct threat or significant risk to the health and safety of themselves, other associates, or guests.
Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly and carry for up to 50 feet.
Able to stand for long periods of time.
Bending, lifting, and chopping repetitively throughout the day.
Ability to work in a small physical space that can be loud at times.
Schedule
This position requires open availability to work 8 or 12-hour shifts, Day, Swing and Graveyard, Monday-Friday and/or weekends.
