Job Description
- Ensure compliance with federal and state workforce regulations (WIOA); assist with developing and maintaining local and regional plans, policies, and internal reviews.
- Provide administrative and governance support to the Workforce Development Board and its committees, including meeting coordination, documentation, membership tracking, and board certification.
- Monitor legislative and policy changes and assist with local implementation; maintain performance and compliance records.
- Coordinate the local One-Stop delivery system in alignment with § 678.620, including MOU and Infrastructure Funding Agreement (IFA) execution and partner engagement.
- Support integration of services across partners and agencies; conduct site visits and maintain a physical presence at Arkansas Workforce Centers to ensure system alignment and operational consistency.
- Coordinate and support preparation for center certification reviews, including assembling required documentation, facilitating partner participation, and reporting to the Workforce Development Board on readiness and compliance outcomes.
- Complete and submit monthly foot traffic and operational reports for Workforce Centers.
- Collect and analyze customer feedback; prepare reports for the board and identify service improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to the board’s strategic plan by facilitating staff development initiatives and supporting planning sessions.
- Work with training providers to ensure complete submissions in Arkansas JobLink (AJL) for initial and continued eligibility.
- Verify program alignment with in-demand occupations and present applications to the board’s Planning/Performance/Finance Committee for ETPL decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration, general business, workforce development, or a related field; and at least three years of experience in workforce compliance, program coordination, or One-Stop operations. (Equivalent experience or education may be considered.)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of computer literacy; capable of producing polished, professional documents and working with data systems (e.g., AJL).
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work with a broad range of stakeholders, including state agencies, training providers, and board members.
- Willingness to travel regionally and maintain an active, physical presence at Arkansas Workforce Centers.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the mission and operation by the Director of Workforce Development.
