Logistics:

Internships will run from mid-May to early August

These are in-office internships at our West Des Moines office located at 7700 Mills Civic Pkwy, West Des Moines, IA 50266

Interviews and hiring decisions expect to be completed prior to mid-November, with some being completed as early as late September.

Accountabilities:

  • The Operations intern position will have two main areas of focus.

  • First will be to run a small Process Improvement project using Six Sigma methodology under the guidance of a team member.

  • Secondly, they will support day-to-day activities across processing areas and contribute to various special projects.

  • Assist in reviewing and revising current processes to gain efficiencies and improve quality

  • Provide strong documentation over processes and data analysis performed

  • Interns are expected to work independently and will be responsible for ownership of their portion of a project once they have been properly trained

  • Interns are encouraged to add value and provide recommendations for improvements to processes and systems by applying their experience and knowledge

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Well-rounded and self-motivated

  • Significant experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Proficient communication and organizational skills

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and a proactive approach to accomplishing tasks
