Job Description

This position will operate the following, but not limited to: front end loader, crusher, conveyors, screens, hydrosizers, pumps, dryer, and produce silica sand.
Essential Job Functions:
- Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspection on all mill equipment during your shift daily
- Complete pre-operation equipment inspection sheets on any equipment used during your shift daily
- Conduct minor maintenance on all equipment in the mill (pumps, screens, scrubbers, float cells), including equipment to run the mill (loader, conveyors, pump boxes). Lock and Tag Out equipment properly.
- Complete daily shift production report (mill tons per hour, dryer tons per hour). Production report includes workplace examinations as required by MSHA. Complete Sieve analysis on Ore stacker and Derrick screen underflow. Complete Sieve testing in wet plant material. Provide specific information on any maintenance or other downtime reasons
- Keep all high traffic areas clean and clear of any trash, debris, tools, hoses, or other miscellaneous items
- Follow all company and safety policies
- Report on any used parts to be ordered
- Report any unsafe conditions to management for repairs. Any defects will be barricaded, and notification will be posted. Equipment will be locked and tagged out as required.
- Personal Protective Equipment will be always worn while on duty (hard hat, hard toe shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection)
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
- GED or High School Diploma
- Good understanding of plant operations.
- Ability to work as part of a team with co-workers of various skill levels.
- Ability to work from elevated spaces in all weather conditions.
- Ability to operate the equipment required of this role.
