Gundersen Health System is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant/Scribe to join our growing and thriving organization. This is your opportunity to perform support functions to the eye practices of the department and gain exposure as an ophthalmology scribe.
- This is a great opportunity for Pre-Med Students!
- This role will start June 2026 and is a 1-year Contract!
What you will get:
- Hands-on experience working with multiple Ophthalmic Providers throughout the Gundersen Health System
- Starting hourly rate of $17.24.hour + more for experience
- 3 different positions available:
- Working with our General Specialist. Based mainly in La Crosse Clinic + opportunity to travel to Winona, Whitehall and Viroqua
- Working with our Retina Specialist. Based entirely in La Crosse Clinic
- Working with our General Specialist. Based mainly in La Crosse Clinic + opportunity to travel to Onalaska and Tomah.
What you will do:
- Work 36-hours each week, Monday thru Friday
- Hours are between 8:00a-5:00p
- Help support and scribe with the Provider
What you will need:
- Highschool diploma or equivalency
- 6 months of customer service/public relations experience
