  • Serve demanding industries including hydraulics, aerospace, medical, defense, automotive, and industrial equipment

  • Operate with modern CNC turning equipment, strong quality systems, and an engineering-driven approach
  • Build long-term customer partnerships rather than commodity work
  • Expanding and seeking an Outside Sales Representative to grow new business and strengthen customer relationships
  • Role Overview

  • Develop new OEM accounts and manage existing customer relationships
  • Represent Machine Products machining capabilities to manufacturers throughout the Chicago metro area and surrounding regions
  • Relationship-driven B2B sales role focused on precision machining and contract manufacturing services
  • Non-retail, non-transactional industrial sales position
  • Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect, identify, and secure new OEM business
  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts
  • Conduct customer visits, presentations, and facility tours
  • Communicate customer requirements internally with engineering and operations
  • Maintain strong customer relationships through consistent follow-up and support
  • Represent company capabilities including CNC turning, Swiss machining, and precision manufacturing
  • Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of outside sales experience in manufacturing or industrial B2B sales
  • Proven success selling contract manufacturing, machining, or technical services
  • Strong understanding of OEM purchasing processes
  • Ability to read or understand engineering drawings and technical requirements
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-directed, accountable, and comfortable working independently
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally
  • Strongly Preferred

  • Experience selling CNC turning, Swiss machining, or precision components
  • Existing OEM relationships in hydraulics, industrial equipment, medical, aerospace, or defense
  • Familiarity with quality systems, tolerances, and regulated manufacturing environments
