Job Description

Location: East Hartford, CT (In-Office; Hybrid Potential After 6 Months)

A well-established law firm in the East Hartford area is seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Paralegal to support its growing trusts and estates practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys hands-on work in estate administration and values working closely with attorneys and clients.

What You'll Do

  • Assist attorneys with trust and estate administration matters from start to finish

  • Prepare and organize probate filings, court documents, and related correspondence

  • Draft routine estate planning and administration documents under attorney supervision

  • Coordinate with clients, courts, financial institutions, and other third parties

  • Track deadlines, manage files, and maintain accurate records

  • Provide general administrative and paralegal support to the trusts and estates team

What We're Looking For

  • At least 2 years of experience in trusts and estates administration or a closely related practice area (required)

  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent legal experience preferred

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to manage multiple matters in a deadline-driven environment

  • Comfortable working primarily in-office (hybrid flexibility may be available after 6 months)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary starting around $55,000, commensurate with experience

  • Benefits package includes health insurance, paid time off, and paid holidays
