Job Description
We have a new opening for a paramedic at Nellis AFB in Nevada.
Job Specific Duties:
The type of work may include, but is not limited to, the following:
• Provide a full range of EMT services within the MTF and supported geographical area.
• Maintain proficiency in the operation of the ambulance radio equipment.
• Monitor and operate ambulance radio equipment as required by the circumstances.
• Provide the patient with the necessary and appropriate medical care, consistent with ambulance equipment and supplies, and personnel certification, training, and experience during transport.
• Control and properly dispose of all medical waste incurred during transport.
• Conduct routine restocking, cleaning, and disinfection of the vehicle, equipment, and supplies. Ensure the ambulances are safe to operate, sanitary, and properly functioning.
• Document all treatment provided to the patient during the patient transport.
• Rapidly stabilizing the patient, according to Advance Life Support (ALS) protocol and EMS written protocols.
• Lift, place, and deliver patients to the receiving destinations for medical care. Place patients on monitors, administer needles, IVs, oxygen, or dressings. Carry patient records or baggage/belongings to the destination for patient care. Redress patient’s wounds.
• AFMAN 32-3001 requires medical support for detonation operations involving live munitions. The primary mission of the EMT-Ps is to cover any medical support required for EOD operations on the Nevada Test and Training Range. Medical Group duties are secondary requirements.
• EMT-P will provide support during intentional detonation operations involving high explosive munitions IAW AFMAN 32-3001. The contractor shall comply with the current and subsequent revision of this publication.
• EMT-P must be able to travel to support Northern Range Operations (TTR-CA).
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Certificate. Graduate from an accredited NREMT program.
License/Certification and Training: Possess and maintain certification as an NREMT-P or National Registered Paramedic (NRP) from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT). Must possess a current ambulance driver’s license and BLS/ALS/PALS required
Experience: One year of experience as an EMT, NREMT, NRAEMT or NRP after graduation.
Security: Must be a US Citizen and must be able eligible to obtain a SECRET security clearance.

Pay Scale: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour, to be determined based on qualifications and experience
