JovieBellevue, WA, USASummary:A bit about us: We’re a warm, professional family in Bellevue seeking a long-term after-school nanny for our 3-year-old son. With both parents working full-time, we’re looking for a caregiver who can make weekday afternoons engaging, calm, and enriching after a busy school day. Kiaan attends preschool during the day, and we value intentional care that balances play, learning, and flexibility. We’re excited to welcome a nanny who feels like a trusted extension of our family.About the role: Our 3yo son, has recently started preschool, and our childcare needs have evolved. We are now looking for a high-quality, education-focused nanny to support him during after-school hours. This role is ideal for someone with a background in early childhood education or child development who enjoys turning afternoons into meaningful, engaging learning experiences through play, structure, and curiosity.Core Responsibilities:
- Preschool pickup at ~3:30pm and safe transportation home or to activities
- Create a calm, engaging after-school routine until ~7:30pm
- Lead developmentally appropriate, play-based learning activities (language, early literacy, numeracy, creative play, problem-solving)
- Encourage reading, storytelling, and age-appropriate educational games
- Support social-emotional development through structured play and positive reinforcement
- Prepare simple snacks / light meals as needed
- Maintain a tidy, organized environment related to the child’s activities
- Communicate regularly with parents on progress, interests, and observations
- Background in early childhood education, preschool teaching, child psychology, or child development (formal training strongly preferred)
- Experience working with preschool-aged children in a structured learning environment
- Strong understanding of play-based learning and child-led engagement
- Warm, patient, calm, and confident demeanor
- Excellent communication skills and reliability
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Glowing references from recent nanny positions.
- Covid vaccinated nanny.
- Monday–Friday, approx. 3:30pm – 7:30pm (flexible)
- Guaranteed part-time hours (20–25 hours/week)
- Opportunity for additional hours or weekend help, if mutually desired
