HSI is an inclusive workplace and a learning community where our collective experiences enrich each other’s growth.This position plays a vital supportive role to Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) by performing a range of clinical duties. Responsibilities include comprehensive vital sign monitoring (blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate), conducting medical assessments, and evaluating individuals for intoxication levels and detoxification risks. The role also involves administering breathalyzer tests, screening for physical injuries and medical complaints, assessing levels of consciousness and behavior, and performing brief psychiatric needs screenings. Additionally, the EMT will perform delegated wound care tasks and administer the Withdrawal Assessment tools as a backup to nurse coordinators.PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Certified Emergency Medical Technician EMT with the State of New Mexico
- Years of Experience as an EMT. (HT I) 0-1 year☐, (HT II) 1-2 years☐, (HT III) 2-3 years☐,
- Basic academic knowledge and understanding of Substance Use Disorders and Mental Health
- CPR/First Aid/AED certified.
- Must have a NM driver’s license and good driving record in good standing
- For bilingual bonus, must be fluent in at least one of New Mexico threshold languages (Vietnamese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Dari, Arabic, Swahili, Kinyarwanda, and Diné (Navajo)
