Purpose:

Drive company trucks or delivery vehicles over established routes or within an established territory to deliver products.   Pick up and return items as needed from customers. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drive company vehicles to deliver products to external customers or internal customers as needed
• Pick up and deliver parts and equipment to customers, wholesale account and vendors
• Verifies that invoice matches to purchase order for each pickup
• Matches cash invoices to payment and turns in by the end of each shift
• Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pickups. 
• Receives customer signature on each delivery entry
• Picks up customer returns, including cores and excess parts
• Listens to and resolves customer’s complaints regarding products or services, and escalates the issue if necessary to appropriate personnel
• Unloads delivery vehicle at end of each day. 
• Turns in all required paperwork and undelivered parts daily
• Handles basic maintenance of truck, including filling gas tank, checking oil, maintaining cleanliness, and making sure daily inspections are performed.
• Advises Operations Manager is vehicle requires major repairs or maintenance. 
• Operates vehicle in a safe manner, maintaining a safe driving record
• Operates forklift as needed for loading/unloading
• Assist Core attendant, pickers and shipping/receiving as necessary
• Maintains a professional appearance and helps maintain cleanliness of department

Complete daily Vehicle Inspection Report prior to leaving for daily deliveries and submitting through established procedures
