YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

TheFieldPayrollAccountantisresponsibleforestablishingandmaintainingpayrolltablestocontrolpay rates and fringe benefit rates in accordance with union agreements.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Assistwithprocessingmonthlyfringebenefitreporting,transmittals,andpaymentstoallunions.

  • AssistinPrevailingWagereportingandaudits.ReconcileFringeBenefitaccrualsagainstpayments and GL.

  • Interpretunioncontractsandprocesstheuploadofunionrate&fringechanges.

  • KeepalertforPrevailingWage/CertifiedPayrollrequirementsandprocessappropriateset-ups.

  • Set-upnewunionjobandfringestructuresinOracle.Workwithtrustfundsonmonthlyreporting requirements.

  • Set-upandmaintainfringereportingrequirementsinAccess.

  • ProcessCertifiedPayroll,bothonlineandpapercopies.

  • Workwithotherdepartmentstocorrectandre-filecertifiedpayrollsasneeded.

  • Implementandmaintainunionportabilityaccruals,payments,andpayrolldeductionsforout-of- area agreements.

  • Responsiblefortimelyandaccurateprocessofunionfringebenefittransmittals.

  • Reconcilemonthlyfringeaccrualsandpaymentstogeneralledger.

  • Implementprocedurestocorrectunionaccrual/paymentvariances.

  • Complywithgovernmentstatisticalreportingandwage surveys.

  • MaintainCompanyassignedvehiclesloginemployeepayrollmasterfileandensureaccurate taxability is applied to personnel.

  • Addressprocessesthatneedstreamliningorautomation.

  • Scanandindexunioncontractsandupdatedetailsintoanimagingsystem.

  • Thedutiesandresponsibilitiesareintendedtodescribethegeneralnatureandscopeofworkbeing performed by this position.This is not acomplete listing and other duties will beassigned basedon the positions role within the business unit.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Accounting,10-key,anddataentryskillsare

  • ProficientinusingacomputerandMicrosoftOffice(Outlook,Word,Excel,Accessetc.); Oracle preferred

  • Prioritizeandmanagemultipletasks,changingprioritiesasnecessary

  • Workunderpressureandadapttochangingrequirementswithapositive attitude

  • Oralandwrittencommunicationskillsasforthe position

  • Self-motivated,proactiveandaneffectiveteamplayer

  • Interacteffectivelyandprofessionallywithalllevelsofemployees,bothmanagementand staff alike, vendors, clients, and others

WHAT YOU BRING TO US:

  • Bachelor’sdegreeinFinance,Accounting,orrelateddiscipline

  • Minimum5years’workexperiencewithaunion employer

  • AmericanPayrollAssociation(APA)membershipisdesirable

  • Canbeacombinationofeducation,training,andrelevant experience

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • General work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning

  • Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.

  • We fully comply with the ADA and applicable state law, including considering reasonable accommodation measures that may enable qualified disabled applicants and employees to perform essential functions.

  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.

Pay Range

$33.45-$44.00 Hourly

The pay range for this role is what we expect to pay for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this job description. Candidate’s pay can vary based on location, job-related experience, skills, and education.
