Payroll Specialist, In-personAbout UsKE&G Construction is a well-established, employee-owned company with a strong commitment to teamwork, safety, and community. We are seeking a motivated Payroll Specialist to join our team with daily operations and provide excellent service to employees and applicants. This role is ideal for someone with payroll experience who is eager to grow within the field.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesWeekly Duties
- Process payroll from start to finish including timecard management, data entry, corrections, and report creation (HeavyJob, E360, and HCSS systems).
- Prepare weekly reports
- Manage payroll-related communications, gather support documents, and ensure all new hires are set up for pay and E-Verify.
- Send paystubs, process certified payroll reports, and manage child support and wage garnishments.
- File and scan employee and payroll documents, maintain organized records, and complete PTO tracking and employment verifications.
- Participate in weekly team meetings and assist with special projects as needed.
- Process new hires, change-of-status forms, and employee audits.
- Prepare birthday, anniversary, and milestone tracking reports.
- Handle certified payroll setup and closing including pay matrix, deductions, and reporting systems
- Support yearly pay increases and vehicle audit tracking.
- Complete year-end payroll processing per Viewpoint guidelines including tax updates and cost allocations.
- Prepare new year payroll files and archive prior-year employee records.
- 2+ years payroll experience
- Certified payroll experience required.
- Strong Excel and data management skills.
- Experience with HCSS or Viewpoint systems preferred.
- Excellent organization, accuracy, and confidentiality.
