Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Coordinator with strong hands-on payroll experience and solid Accounts Payable (AP) knowledge. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate payroll processing, maintaining employee records, and supporting financial operations through effective AP management. This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong analytical abilities, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

    • Payroll Administration
    • Process weekly/bi-weekly payroll for all employees with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
    • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and status changes.
    • Verify timesheets, wage calculations, deductions, and adjustments.
    • Ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
    • Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
    • Prepare payroll reports for management, HR, and accounting teams.
    • Coordinate with HR on benefits, PTO balances, and payroll-related changes.
    • Accounts Payable Support
    • Review, code, and process vendor invoices for payment.
    • Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to ensure accuracy.
    • Maintain vendor files and communicate with vendors regarding billing discrepancies.
    • Assist with weekly payment runs and reconciliation of AP accounts.
    • Support month-end closing activities related to AP and payroll.
    • General Accounting & Administrative Tasks
    • Assist with account reconciliations and audits related to payroll and AP.
    • Maintain organized electronic and physical payroll/AP documentation.
    • Support the finance team with ad hoc projects and reporting as needed.
$24 - $28 an hour
