Location: Chattanooga, TN

About the Job

The People Director, Manufacturing & Supply will serve as a strategic partner to site leadership across Chattanooga, driving people strategy, engagement, and organizational excellence to support business performance and growth.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to build the future of People & Culture at Opella’s key North America Manufacturing & Supply sites.

Main Responsibilities:

People & Culture Strategy

  • Partner with Manufacturing & Supply leaders to define and execute the local People & Culture roadmap aligned with North America and global priorities.
  • Drive organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and capability development to ensure operational success.
  • Champion Opella’s standalone culture, embedding our Challenger Mindset across all levels of the organization.

Leadership & Talent

  • Coach and develop site leaders to strengthen leadership capability, team performance, and employee engagement.
  • Lead talent and succession planning for Manufacturing & Supply, ensuring robust pipelines for critical roles.
  • Partner with Talent CoEs to implement development and employer branding initiatives.

Employee Engagement & Relations

  • Foster an inclusive, high-trust, and performance-driven culture across Chattanooga sites.
  • Lead proactive engagement and employee relations initiatives that enhance retention and workplace experience.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, Opella policies, and ethical standards.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, and headcount management in collaboration with Finance and global Talent teams.
  • Deliver HR operational excellence, including compensation, performance management, and policy execution.
  • Partner with Global and Regional P&C teams to deploy new tools, systems, and processes.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred in HR, Business, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including experience supporting manufacturing or supply chain operations.
  • Strong business acumen with a track record of influencing senior leaders and driving cultural change.
  • Experience in Consumer Health, CPG, Biopharma, or regulated environments preferred.
  • Knowledge of HR systems (e.g., Workday) and analytical tools (Excel).
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English

The salary range for this position is:  $137,000.00 - $200,000.00
