Job Description
Location: New York City, NY
Obligo is looking for a resourceful, people-driven, and proactive People Experience & Office Manager to join our New York City team.In this role, you’ll own the day-to-day operations of our NYC office while helping create an outstanding employee experience and supporting HR, recruiting, and leadership operations.If you love making things happen, thrive on organization, and enjoy helping people feel connected and supported, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
Office & Workplace Management
- Own the day-to-day operations of our NYC office, including vendors, supplies, facilities, and office logistics.
- Ensure the office is welcoming, well-organized, and an inspiring environment for employees and visitors.
- Coordinate team events, happy hours, company offsites, and office initiatives with creativity and attention to detail.
- Be the point person for all office-related needs and continuously improve the workplace experience.
HR, Recruiting & Employee Experience
- Partner closely with the VP HR to support recruiting coordination, onboarding, and employee lifecycle processes.
- Schedule interviews, manage candidate communications, and ensure a seamless and thoughtful candidate experience.
- Help onboard new hires and ensure a smooth, positive transition into the company.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and cultural activities that reflect Obligo’s values.
- Be the go-to person for all things people, helping make Obligo a truly great place to work.
Executive & Cross-Team Support
- Manage calendars, meetings, and domestic and international travel for the leadership team and employees.
- Support finance operations, including invoices, expense reports, and budget tracking.
- Coordinate communication and logistics across teams to ensure smooth operations and alignment.
Cross-Functional Projects
- Jump in on special projects and cross-functional initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance collaboration, and elevate the employee experience.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of experience as an Office Manager, People Operations / HR Operations Coordinator, or People Experience Specialist in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on experience with recruiting coordination, onboarding, and employee engagement.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a detail-oriented, solutions-focused mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with a passion for people, culture, and creating meaningful work experiences.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and excited to make a real impact in a growing startup environment.
