WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Our Personal Insurance Agents eagerly assist members and prospective members with insurance product needs including, homeowner and renter, flood and earthquake, auto, and umbrella policies. In this position, you will be responsible for working in the credit union owned insurance agency to deliver insurance solutions that assist members in protecting their assets and minimizing liability. As a licensed property and casualty insurance agent, all normal duties are expected at a professional level including sales, customer service, and follow up. Agents are responsible for building strong, trustworthy relationships while working closely with members to uphold Credit Union operations, policies, and procedures.

Location, Schedule Availability & Salary Information

• 5151 S 400 E, Ogden, UT 84405 with travel required to local branches
• Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• $23.00 per hour + Bonus + Generous Commission Schedule + Incentive

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Cultivate and effectively manage long-term, trusting relationships.
• Meets with members to review and analyze their insurance needs
• Explains coverage and suggests actions or changes in insurance programs so that members can make informed decisions.
• Develops professional relationships with members in order to further understand their insurance needs, including loss potential and liability risk.
• Provide excellent service to members and potential members
• Represent the Credit Union in a professional manner, both in dress and in action
• Accurately and efficiently process transactions in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Follow-up on referrals
• Provide consistent member follow-up.
• Comply with all regulations as required by law.
• Actively participate in continuing education related to credit union career development.

Experience, Education & Certification

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 2 years insurance sales experience required
• Property & Casualty Insurance license
