Summary of Role:
The Personal Lines Manager assists the agency in the planning, organizing, staffing, sales and service activities of the agency while auditing and implementing service standards. The position is responsible for managing prompt, accurate, courteous service to customers while making sure employees are meeting all sales and service deadlines and expectations.
Essential JobFunctions/Responsibilities:
Assist in promoting worksite payroll deduction programs
Provide sales coaching and feedback to personal lines representatives
Audit workflow of personal lines representatives for compliance with sales and service best practices
Assist in achieving or exceeding individual sales objectives
Implement agency policy as established
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and customer service by improving ongoing service delivery methods
Provide agency efficiency through process improvement efforts
Offer continuing service and advice to personal lines clients when escalated
Offer technical expertise to personal lines staff
Develop, implement, and monitor the training of the personal lines staff
Assist Vice President with the review of employee performance
Assist in the development of strategies to accomplish and support the personal lines department’s business plan objectives
Assist in carrying out the personal lines department’s action plan
Support full utilization of automation system
Stay informed regarding insurance technical knowledge, market trends, agency automation, company information, and other operating techniques
Travel to branch locations as needed for training and other purposes
Represent The Agency at events during or outside of normal business hours
Other duties as needed
Minimum Job Qualifications:
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.)
2 Years insurance management experience
Familiarity with insurance operations with a thorough understanding of Applied Epic Management System
Ability to effectively, accurately and succinctly communicate topics related to insurance and to have basic knowledge of other areas of the Broadview Insurance Agency. Must possess ability to analyze, comprehend and then communicate information relative to the Broadview Insurance Agency products and services. Must also be able to write effective business letters and have strong verbal sales skills.
Must maintain a NYS Insurance Agents and Brokers Insurance license
Must be eligible for bonding
Must be detail oriented, self-confident and self-starter
Starting Compensation: $65,990-$80,838 annually, plus a competitive benefits package.
