Job Description:
The Specialty Pharmacist plays a critical role in optimizing medication therapy for patients with complex, chronic, and high-cost conditions. This position supports outpatient specialty pharmacy services, ensuring safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication use through clinical review, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The pharmacist provides oversight of specialty medication workflows, including prior authorization, financial assistance coordination, and therapy monitoring. This role also supports compliance with accreditation standards and contributes to quality improvement initiatives.
Education:
PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy- Required
PGY1 Residency- Preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty pharmacy or oncology- Preferred
Certification/Licensure:
California Pharmacist License (RPh) in good standing- Required
BLS Certification- Required
Board Certification or Advanced Practice Pharmacist (APh)- Preferred
Work Shift:
08.0 Per Diem No Waive (United States of America)
Pay Range:
$88.03 - $118.84
Hourly
Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.
Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.
Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word 'exempt' on it.
