Job Description:

Performs supervisory and management activities consistent with the expectations of Essentia Health and the Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations.

Serves as the Pharmacist In Charge/Managing Pharmacist per Board of Pharmacy requirements. Participates in and oversees the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions to provide comprehensive pharmacy services. Number of direct reports (Staff Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy Clerk, Couriers) and budget responsibilities will vary by location.

Education Qualifications:

  • A Doctorate or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education.
  • 1-3 years of management experience strongly preferred
  • Experience leading multi-site projects in a matrix organization structure preferred, project management skills Understanding of IT development life cycle Understanding of Lean Six Sigma concepts and tools

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy
