Job Description
In this role you will be:
- Prepare, label, and package medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
- Deliver medications to nursing units and patient care areas in a timely manner
- Accurately enter and maintain medication orders in the pharmacy information system
- Compound sterile and non-sterile preparations according to USP standards (including IV admixtures, chemotherapy, and TPN, if applicable)
- Maintain accurate medication inventory, restock automated dispensing machines, and conduct periodic inventory audits
- Assist in medication reconciliation and billing processes
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and state/federal pharmacy regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pharmacy work areas
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent required
- EXPERIENCE: Comparable experience in healthcare setting will be considered
- LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Must obtain a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and maintain certification by meeting PTCB standards
