Job Description

POSITION: Pharmacy TechnicianDEPARTMENT: PharmacyHOURS: Casual - Must work 16 hours every 90 daysUNION: YesUNION NAME: Local 113

WAGE RANGE: $19.94 - $29.76GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Assists pharmacist with daily tasks to provide effective, efficient and safe pharmacy services to CCM Health clients.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

High School Diploma or have a General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
Must be 18 years of age.
As of January 1, 2013, individuals who register as a pharmacy technician for the first time or who register after letting their registration lapse for more than 12 months will have 12 months from your registration date to complete Board-approved technician training. Certified Technician Required

SKILL(S):

Good organizational skills.

Ability to utilize computer applications.
Knowledge of pharmacy state laws and regulations, including generic substitution laws.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Ability to understand and follow Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs).

Ability to make independent judgments.

EXPERIENCE:One (1) year of pharmacy experience in hospital setting is preferred.
