40Job Description Summary:
The Pharmacy Technician prepares, fills and distributes medications and sterile products. All technicians are under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.Job Requirements, Prerequisites and Essential Functions:
EDUCATIONHigh school graduation or equivalent. Two years of college with appropriate science courses or completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician program.EXPERIENCETwo years as a pharmacy technician or related experience preferred. Hospital pharmacy technician experience is strongly preferred.LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATIONSRegistered Pharmacy Technician Required at hireIntegrative Agitation Management (IAM) Required within 30 days of hirePREREQUISITE SKILLSDemonstrated working knowledge of general pharmacy operations. Demonstrated knowledge of drug names, dosage forms, packaging and storage requirements. Demonstrated application of aseptic technique procedures. Ability to prepare sterile solutions. Knowledge of pharmacy computer systems and hardware. Ability to work tactfully and effectively with patients, nursing staff, physician staff, and all hospital personnel. Ability to prioritize work flow and respond appropriately to immediate or urgent patient or work flow needs. Ability to read, speak, write, understand and follow English verbal and written instruction.

The posted pay range complies with applicable law and reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role. Individual pay is set by skills, experience, qualifications, and internal/market equity, consistent with MarinHealth’s compensation philosophy. Positions covered by collective bargaining agreements are governed by those agreements.
