Job Description
Position Highlights:
- Position: Pharmacy Technician
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Location: Inpatient Pharmacy
Responsibilities:
- Process and fill prescriptions accurately for both inpatient and outpatient needs
- Maintain drug inventory by tracking stock levels, ordering supplies, and checking expiration dates
- Restock automated dispensing cabinets and medication carts
- Answer phone calls and provide excellent customer service to patients and staff
- Maintain accurate patient records and pharmacy documentation
- Comply with hospital, state, and federal regulations regarding medication handling
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and equipment maintenance tasks
- Support billing and insurance claim processes as needed
- Adhere to established procedures to ensure medication safety and confidentiality
- Abide by all current United States Pharmacopeia (USP) recommendations at all times. • Prepare sterile and non-sterile products within current USP guidelines. Sterile products include both non-hazardous and hazardous medications.
- Responsible for maintaining the integrity of all compounding areas through cleaning and proper use.
- Responsible for completing patient billing in a thorough and timely manner.
- Responsible for inter-departmental billing as assigned.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent with at least two (2) years pharmacy technician experience preferred, but not required. OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Pharmacy technician certification with the Colorado State Board of Pharmacy.
Compensation:
- $21.00 – 24.15 per hour, depending on education and experience.
- Discretionary bonuses, relocation expenses, merit increase, market adjustments, recognition bonuses, and other forms of discretionary compensation may be available.

- Relocation: Must relocate to Grand Junction, CO 81505 before starting work.
