Pharmacy Technician Certified, Inpatient Pharmacy, Full Time

Position Highlights:

Responsibilities:

• Process and fill prescriptions accurately for both inpatient and outpatient needs
• Maintain drug inventory by tracking stock levels, ordering supplies, and checking expiration dates
• Restock automated dispensing cabinets and medication carts
• Answer phone calls and provide excellent customer service to patients and staff
• Maintain accurate patient records and pharmacy documentation
• Comply with hospital, state, and federal regulations regarding medication handling
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and equipment maintenance tasks
• Support billing and insurance claim processes as needed
• Adhere to established procedures to ensure medication safety and confidentiality
• Abide by all current United States Pharmacopeia (USP) recommendations at all times. • Prepare sterile and non-sterile products within current USP guidelines. Sterile products include both non-hazardous and hazardous medications.
• Responsible for maintaining the integrity of all compounding areas through cleaning and proper use.
• Responsible for completing patient billing in a thorough and timely manner.
• Responsible for inter-departmental billing as assigned.
• All other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least two (2) years pharmacy technician experience preferred, but not required. OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Pharmacy technician certification with the Colorado State Board of Pharmacy.

 

Compensation:

• $21.00 – 24.15 per hour, depending on education and experience.
• Discretionary bonuses, relocation expenses, merit increase, market adjustments, recognition bonuses, and other forms of discretionary compensation may be available.
