The photo and video specialist creates high-quality visual content that supports a wide range of internal and external communications. This role is responsible for capturing, editing, and producing photo and video content for various organizational needs. Projects range from internal communications and informational campaigns to commercial productions, patient stories, brand journalism, headshots, and bio videos. The role involves both studio and field work, and requires technical proficiency, creative problem-solving, and strong communication skills.This position offers the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that reach a wide audience. Operates still photo and video cameras, as well as audio recording equipment on location or in the studio, in production of photo, video and audio products.Job Description
Selects, transports, sets up and operates the appropriate photo and video production equipment, including audio and lighting for both field and studio productions. Edits video and audio segments from a variety of digital formats. Resizes, edits, airbrushed and otherwise enhances images using Photoshop or other photo editing software, working with the requester or an art director to determine the best presentation of the images.In addition to making high-quality images and videos, the Photo-Video Specialist will also maintain camera equipment, including lights, lenses and tripods. Possesses knowledge of professional still photography, audio and video editing and post-production procedures, techniques and standards. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Exhibits the ability to be self-directed and possesses the ability to effectively manage time and schedules. Displays the willingness to assume and the ability to demonstrate leadership skills as well as works on a team. Demonstrates effective collaboration skills with all team members or individuals involved with the project in order to reach the desired outcome. Rapidly and flexibly responds to need identified by customers.Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited post-secondary educational program required. Bachelor’s degree preferred, with coursework in mass communication, photographic/video production or equivalent work experience. Minimum five years of experience in photography and videography required, preferably in a health care setting. Possesses knowledge of the basic principles of medical and promotional photography and video production, lighting, editing, audio recording and editing, photo journalism, on-location and studio production, post-production, computer graphics software and techniques.Sanford is an EEO/AA Employer M/F/Disability/Vet.
