We are proud to be a trusted leader in senior care, offering a warm, respectful, and supportive environment for both our residents and team members.Position SummarySheboygan Senior Community is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. This position involves providing and directing physical therapy services for adult and geriatric patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The goal is to help patients reach their maximum functional potential within a medical model of care.
This is a great opportunity for a professional seeking flexibility with a commitment of just 4 hours one weekend day per month.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide therapeutic interventions under the direction of a Physical Therapist. 
  • Assist with evaluation, treatment planning, and goal-setting for patients. 
  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions focused on strength, mobility, coordination, balance, and functional skills. 
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adapting interventions as necessary. 
  • Participate in discharge planning and patient/family education. 
  • Supervise rehabilitation technicians, students, and volunteers as needed. 
  • Maintain compliance with all safety, documentation, and confidentiality standards (including HIPAA). 
  • Uphold high standards of professionalism and customer service at all times.Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. 
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Wisconsin. 
  • Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
  • Ability to work independently with occasional supervision. 
  • Comfortable working with geriatric and physically or cognitively compromised patients. 
  • Must be physically capable of lifting 50–100 lbs, assisting with patient transfers, and performing duties that require standing, stooping, reaching, and walking.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in a senior care or long-term care setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to document care electronically. 
  • A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
Compensation: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour
