Work alongside a collaborative team of patient-focused colleagues and physicians in our thriving Advanced Urology Associates practice, primarily based at Legacy Emanuel Medical Office Building 2 in North Portland, with periodic travel to our Tualatin and Gresham locations. Using excellent customer service and communication skills, your primary duties in this role include:

  • Responsible for providing medical care under the supervision of a physician.
  • Provides complete physical assessments including health history, periodic health assessments, health education, and counseling to new and established patients, as deemed appropriate by the medical leadership of the group.
  • Holds clinic responsibilities as well as operating room (OR) coverage and functions as first or second assist on surgical procedures, as appropriate.
  • Participates in a rotating call schedule, including inpatient consults and hospital-based care.
  • Opportunities to participate in complex urologic care, including exposure to kidney transplant services.
  • Contributes to the physician's effectiveness by identifying patient care issues, recommending options and courses of action, and implementing the physician's directives.
  • Updates medical records and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Salary:

Hiring range, based on experience and credentials: $126,763.52 - $190,145.28 per year.

Workdays: This role is primarily located at Legacy Emanuel Medical Office Building 2 in North Portland and includes periodic travel to our Tualatin and Gresham locations. Hybrid/remote work may be available on a limited basis once training is completed and expectations are met. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, with occasional schedule variation based on clinic, OR, and call responsibilities.

Qualifications that support success in this role are based on education, experience, and values including:

  • Successful completion of an accredited Physician Associate program and current Oregon License.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of professional Surgical Physician Associate experience or a minimum of two (2) years of professional Physician Associate experience in a clinical setting required. Specialty care in Urology is a plus.
  • Current CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire; ACLS may be required by specialty.
  • Board certification required.
  • Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience required; Epic experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate work independently and effectively multitask.
  • Excellent attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Positive attitude with a desire to be a team player.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and team members.
  • Commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.
