Job Description

The Pediatric PM&R Physician provides specialized care to infants, children, and adolescents with congenital, developmental, neuromuscular, and musculoskeletal conditions that affect physical function, mobility, and quality of life. The physician focuses on improving functional outcomes and promoting independence through comprehensive evaluation, medical management, rehabilitation planning, and coordination of multidisciplinary care.

Qualifications

M.D. or D.O. degree.Successful completion of an accredited residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation & a fellowship in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine.

Current medical license in each state of practice.State Controlled Substance License (if required by State)Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe controlled substances in each state of practice.Board Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation by the American Board of PM&R and subspecialty certification in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine or equivalent (American Osteopathic Board, Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada). If physician is not board certified upon commencement of employment, they must achieve board certification as outlined in the privileging documents.Privileging documents and related credentialing requirements will supersede this job description in defining minimum qualifications, criteria, and scope of practice, if variation between documents exists.
