Become a leader of a newly established Gastroenterology Fellowship! Receiving initial accreditation in 2024, the Sanford Gastroenterology Fellowship program welcomed its first fellows in 2025 and at full complement will train 6 fellows per year. Excellent opportunity to grow a new program established in partnership with The University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine and Sanford Health. This three-year training program is designed to provide postgraduate physicians with advanced clinical training and research experience to provide excellent and timely care to the people of South Dakota and the upper Midwest.The Program Director is responsible for overseeing the educational program and ensuring compliance with ACGME requirements. This role involves strategic leadership, curriculum development, teaching, faculty coordination, and trainee mentorship to maintain a high-quality fellowship program. Additionally, this position will be an active member of the clinical staff within the gastroenterology clinic.Opportunity HighlightsCommunity Description

Gastroenterology Core Privileges include the ability to perform history and physical examinations, admit (if applicable to the setting), provide consultative services, evaluate, diagnose, and provide nonsurgical care to adolescent and adult patients presenting with illnesses, injuries, and disorders of the stomach, intestines, and related structure, such as the esophagus, liver, gallbladder, and pancreas including biopsies.Qualifications
