The Pipe Yard Specialist is able to work safely in all conditions, and use their Stop Work Authority if they see something that is out of order. They are responsible for accurately checking in the work over trailers, as well as the materials that are received from our vendors. They should be treated with respect and in turn treat others (co-workers, vendors, customers, and visitors) with respect. They should be open to learning new things, and be open to sharing their ideas with the team, because that is the only way that a world class team is made.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reports to the Pipe Yard Lead and Program Manager
  • Check in work over trailers following the Work Over Trailer SWI
  • Operate yard truck to load and unload trailers
  • Restocks materials in conex/warehouse
  • Notify Yard Lead of special order materials returned on trailers and not used
  • Create NCR documents for suppliers
  • Notify Yard Lead of stock-outs
  • Perform spotter duties during loader operations
  • Operate forklift (5k or 10K) to load/unload trailers
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Work independently and as part of a team

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma and/or equivalent
  • Follow established guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Must be able to physically lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have current, valid driver's license and acceptable record at all times.
  • Ability to make and be accountable for decisions
  • Communication skills, both verbal and written, and organizational skills
  • Possess integrity and a dedication to a safe work environment
  • Maintain a good working relationship with all Branch employees
  • Ability to be coached and open to learning new ways to perform tasks

JOB PREFERENCES:

  • 2+ years' experience with heavy equipment operation
  • Forklift certification on 5k and 10k forklifts
  • Experience working in a pipe yard or warehouse preferred
  • Basic computer knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point and SAP etc.
