Job Description

  • Work with loan operations to oversee daily administration of portfolio including fundings and repayments.
  • Work with other PMs, and Credit Analysts in the Structured Finance lending unit.
  • Ensure staff are using appropriate models, templates, software (Moody's, CRM, Trend Cards, etc.) for credit approval and monitoring.
  • Meet with Team Leads regularly to ensure proper workflow management, processes, strategy, and risk review.
  • Work on structuring, due diligence, and underwriting of credit facilities, including term loans, and revolving credit facilities. This includes bilateral, club, and syndicated loans.
  • Prepare and supervise the preparation of cashflow models and analyze the cash flow modeling results.
  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers and credit team on appropriate deal structures customized to meet each client's financing needs and compliance with bank policies and guidelines.
  • Oversee the internal credit Loan Approval Process, presenting transactions along with relationship manager to Senior Management and loan committees.
  • Ensure credit documentation meets bank policies and is appropriate for each transaction.
  • Manage and monitor the loan portfolio on a name by name basis and in aggregate to ensure a balanced, diversified risk/return.
  • Ensure internal credit ratings are appropriate, and upgrades and downgrades are processed proactively and in a timely manner.
  • Possess a great understanding of banking regulations, (including those related to Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, and USA Patriot Act, CRA, Privacy, and Security), as well as the Bank's policies and procedures and consistently incorporate them in the deal-specific analysis.
  • Maintain and cultivate an effective working relationship with Internal (credit risk, relationship managers, legal, compliance, operations, senior management) and External clients (borrowers, external counsels, other financial institutions, specialized consultants, regulators).
  • Work with regulators and internal credit reviewers to validate credit quality and integrity of the credit process.
  • Develop and mentor junior staff.
  • Identify, develop and lead the implementation of policies and process improvements.

Job Qualifications/Requirements

  • 5+ years of management and commercial banking.
  • Has 5+ years of experience in the Structured finance space.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial statements and granular collateral performance data and perform detailed projections of future performance and cash flow modeling.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations and laws; compliance documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to management, credit administrators, regulators, or board members.
  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.

The salary range for this full-time position is $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 + bonus + benefits

Salary ranges are determined based on qualifications, level, and location.
