Maintenance Technician
📍 Sterling Heights, MI 💵 Pay: Up to $35/hour ⏰ Shift: 2nd Shift | 1:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. 📅 Schedule: Mandatory weekends and overtime as needed

Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping production equipment—including stamping presses and related machinery—running at peak performance. This role requires mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance to maximize uptime and ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, prepare, and maintain equipment for scheduled production runs.
- Perform emergency and unscheduled repairs on presses, robots, and facility equipment.
- Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical issues.
- Inspect and diagnose machine failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Repair/replace defective components and adjust machines for optimal performance.
- Collaborate with production and technical teams to address equipment concerns.
- Maintain organized maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Keep work areas safe, clean, and organized.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong background with presses (any type), along with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
- Fanuc robot experience preferred.
- Ability to read technical documents, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Forklift operation experience required.
- Willingness to work 2nd shift, weekends, and overtime.
- Commitment to safety and quality.
- Basic computer proficiency.
