As a Process Engineer - Rolling, you'll play a key role in improving product quality and reducing costs through process optimization, trials of new methods and materials, and collaboration with R&D teams.

Your Role at a Glance

• Provide technical support for hot rolling operations, including reheat furnaces, piercer, rolling mill, sizer, and straightener.
• Maintain and improve standard operating procedures.
• Train operators and reduce variation in key process indicators.
• Lead Continuous Improvement Teams.
• Benchmark existing technologies and evaluate new processes and materials.
• Identify and present Capital Expenditure projects; lead CapEx initiatives.
• Coordinate project activities with Vallourec R&D centers, external research organizations, and universities.

What Sets You Apart

We're looking for individuals who bring the right mix of experience, mindset, and motivation:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or metallurgical engineering/Material Science (or equivalent).
• 1-3 years of steel industry experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including statistical techniques.
• Effective oral and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
• Project management experience for process improvement and/or product development.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated leadership potential and team-building skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
