Job Description

Our client, a leading provider of high-tech cleanroom construction services, has an immediate opening in Manassas, VA for experienced Construction Specialists.

The selected candidate will serve as a code compliance and design constructability resource for the Construction Management, Engineering, and Design teams. This role requires strong discipline-specific installation knowledge, with a focus on high-purity analytical and process systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide code compliance and constructability support to project teams.
  • Develop and maintain installation guidelines, technical bulletins, and compliance memos.
  • Ensure design and field installations meet industry and contract standards.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in discipline-specific construction practices (process piping, electrical, or architectural).

Requirements

Process Piping Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of industry standards for plastic, metal, and hybrid piping systems used in microelectronics facilities.
  • Expertise in:
    • Carbon steel and stainless steel welding
    • Heat fusion and solvent welding of various plastics
    • Pipe joining methods (threaded, compression, face seal, flared fittings, brazing, soldering, etc.)
  • Required Certifications:
    • ASME B31.3-compliant weld certification (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, or automatic orbital welding for high-purity gas systems)
    • George Fischer certification in PVDF fusion (IR 63 or IR 225)
    • Qualified PVC/CPVC bonder per ASME B31.3 (Chapter VII)
    • Manufacturer certification for PVC/CPVC fabrication and installation

Electrical Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Support resolution of design package and panel schedule issues.
  • Manage EEW, COHE, and lockout/tagout procedures and sign-offs.
  • Review Electrical SIPP documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Preferred Certifications:
    • ASSE – American Society of Safety Engineers
    • IAEI – International Association of Electrical Inspectors

Architectural Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders on cleanroom component installation.
  • Strong knowledge of cleanroom construction, micro-contamination control, and certification.
  • Work with project and certification teams to support bay and mini-environment certification processes.
  • Coordinate gown room activities, pass-through logistics, and cleanroom access.
  • Support concrete coring, traffic monitoring, elevator scheduling, and facility protection during construction.
  • Manage interstitial/ceiling access and cleaning coordination activities.

  • Experienced in cleanroom or semiconductor facility construction.
  • Strong communicator with cross-discipline coordination skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and safety-focused.
