Work alongside a dedicated and diverse set of people to offer honest advice and practical guidance to our clients?

- Lead and participate in discovery, synthesis, and ideation workshops with federal stakeholders and users
- Create user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for web and mobile interfaces
- Design with accessibility, equity, and usability in mind—ensuring compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508
- Collaborate with developers to implement responsive, scalable components using USWDS and modern front-end frameworks
- Support iterative design by gathering user feedback and analytics insights to continuously refine designs
- Document design systems, interaction patterns, and best practices for implementation and scaling
- Contribute to agile sprint ceremonies, including story mapping, refinement, and demos
- Advocate for the user while balancing business and technical constraints in a government context
What We Need From You (Required):
- 3+ years of experience as a product designer, UX/UI designer, or interaction designer
- Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design across web and/or mobile applications
- Proficiency in Figma (preferred), Sketch, Adobe XD, or equivalent design tools
- Familiarity with the U.S. Web Design System (USWDS) and government digital service standards
- Experience working in agile environments alongside cross-functional teams
- Understanding of responsive design, design systems, accessibility (508/WCAG 2.1), and usability testing
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- U.S. Citizenship (NO EXCEPTIONS)
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Bonus Points (Desired):
- Experience working on federal digital service or public sector projects
- Background in front-end development (HTML/CSS/React) or close collaboration with engineers
- Familiarity with human-centered design (HCD), service design, or lean UX approaches
- Working knowledge of Section 508 testing tools like AXE, WAVE, or ANDI
- Certifications in UX, HCD, accessibility, or product design (e.g., NN/g UX Certificate)
Work Setup & Travel:
- Hybrid - Based in Washington, DC. Occasional travel may be required.
- Must be able to obtain Public Trust
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, IT Management, or related field
