Job Description
SpyCloud is seeking a Product Manager to lead the development and delivery of our Data Platform & Analytics-the shared data and analytics capabilities that power every SpyCloud product. You will partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Data Science, and Security Research to translate customer and market insights into robust, scalable services and APIs. Your work will enable downstream product teams to innovate rapidly, build compelling new features, and drive profitable growth.
You will partner deeply with fellow Product Managers, Engineering, Data Science, and Security Research to turn market and customer insights into scalable, platform‑level capabilities. You'll weave analytics and data services into both new and existing products, unlocking actionable intelligence that fuels feature innovation. From discovery through launch, you'll guide cross‑functional teams to ensure downstream product owners can confidently build on a self‑service data foundation.
You excel at making high‑impact decisions with imperfect information, leading without formal authority, and thriving amid chaos and complexity. Balancing deep technical fluency in data architectures and ML/AI workflows, you'll translate SpyCloud's vision into actionable plans that fuel growth, delight customers, and empower every product team. As an AI‑forward company, SpyCloud expects you to leverage AI to gather, organize, prioritize, and define requirements-assessing opportunities and continuously feeding our expanding suite of product offerings.
What You'll Do:
- Help define, evangelize, and continuously refine a multi‑year strategy for SpyCloud's data and analytics capabilities, ensuring alignment with both existing products and future growth opportunities.
- Decompose high‑level platform initiatives into clear epics and user stories; participate in agile planning, stand‑ups, and sprint reviews; coordinate Engineering, Data Science, Design, and Security Research to deliver on time and to spec.
- Establish, monitor, and report on key metrics-such as data delivery latency, alert precision/recall, SLA compliance, and platform adoption-and leverage those insights to adjust priorities, optimize performance, and validate feature ROI.
- Work closely with other Product Managers to translate platform capabilities into differentiated customer features; provide self‑service APIs, documentation, and support that empower teams to build rapidly and autonomously.
- Partner with Product Marketing, Sales Engineering, Customer Success, and Legal/Privacy to craft go‑to‑market positioning, support key accounts, and embed best practices around compliance, security, and data governance.
- Oversee the retirement of legacy data pipelines and storage systems, plan prototypes and migrations to next‑generation architectures, and champion continuous improvement to reduce cost‑to‑serve and technical risk.
- Evaluate third‑party data sources, ML frameworks, and integration partners; lead technical and commercial diligence to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality, security, and profitability.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in product management or software/data engineering, including 2+ years in a product management role owning data‑centric or platform products
- Domain expertise in cybersecurity, identity protection, threat intelligence, or fraud detection
- Proven track record delivering scalable data and analytics services (APIs, pipelines, microservices) that downstream teams consume to build customer‑facing features
- Deep understanding of modern data and cloud architectures (streaming, batch, lakehouse/warehouse) and ML/AI workflows (feature engineering, model deployment, monitoring)
- Strong proficiency in quantitative analysis-defining and tracking KPIs (latency, precision/recall, SLAs, adoption) and leveraging insights to drive roadmap decisions
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams-partnering with engineers, data scientists, researchers, and business stakeholders without formal authority
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence briefing executives, guiding design reviews, and evangelizing platform capabilities internally and externally
- Power user of AI‑based tools (including LLMs) to gather, organize, prioritize, and validate requirements
- Experience in agile/lean environments, breaking complex initiatives into epics and user stories and driving end‑to‑end delivery
- Comfortable with collaboration tools such as Slack, Confluence, JIRA, and Salesforce
Nice to Have:
- Prior exposure to IAM, SIEM, or SOAR products or integrations
- MBA or advanced business/technical degree
