Job Description
Job Title: Product Regulatory Specialist
Employment Status: Full-Time
Classification: Exempt
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday with occasional weekends
Reports to: Director of R&D
Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes
Pay: $75,000 - $90,000/year
Position Summary: The Product Regulatory Specialist is a solution orientated and resolution focused individual that leads global regulatory compliance for ingredients, finished goods, and technologies across multiple markets. This role owns regulatory strategy, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration for product regulatory projects. Collaborates with Product Management, Production, Supply Chain, Safety, Quality, Engineering, and Research & Development on the support of existing and development of new products by providing risk assessments, regulatory assessments, and recommendations for regulatory compliance.

Experience and Education Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA's) Required
·* Demonstrates advanced knowledge in interpreting and applying food safety regulations, including FSMA, HACCP, GMPs, and SQF standards. ·* Skilled in allergen control and microbiological risk assessment for food products and ingredients. ·* Proficient in regulatory documentation and document control practices, ensuring compliance and traceability. ·* Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess complex regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable compliance strategies. ·* Experienced in conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation plans aligned with food safety standards. ·* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to cross-functional teams. ·* Effective interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, fostering collaboration across departments. ·* Proven project management capabilities, including planning, execution, and cross-functional coordination. ·* Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. ·* Strong reporting and documentation skills, with a focus on timely follow-up and data accuracy. ·* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other regulatory and quality management software tools.

The employee is occasionally required to lift, carry, and push up to 25 pounds, stand, stoop and bend. The employee may occasionally encounter uneven surfaces when in manufacturing facility. Visual acuity is needed to read computer screens and reports. Hearing ability for phone and in-person communication. Working Conditions This position typically functions in a business environment. There may be occasional travel by car and plane with possibility of overnight travel. There will be exposure to moderate noise levels, fumes, dust, chemicals, and allergens when traveling or in manufacturing facility.
