Product Training Manager- Pumps

Position Overview

Malco Group is seeking a Product Training Manager- Pumps with deep expertise in pump technologies, including centrifugal, positive displacement, submersible, and specialty pumps. This role serves as the primary technical authority for our pump products and solutions. You will collaborate with product management, engineering, and customers to ensure our offerings meet market needs and deliver exceptional performance. Your insights will influence product development and strengthen our position in the pump market.

Essential Duties

1. Subject Matter Expertise

    • Act as the primary technical expert for pump installation, operation, and maintenance products, providing specialized knowledge on application and optimization.
    • Lead technical support for internal teams and customers, addressing detailed product inquiries and troubleshooting issues.

2. Tool Utilization & Application

    • Master the tools and technologies our company provides for the pump industry, including advanced diagnostic and service tools.
    • Train customers and internal teams on effective tool usage to maximize system performance and efficiency.

3. Product Feedback & Development

    • Partner with Product Management to deliver feedback on product performance, customer usage, and technical challenges.
    • Support the development of new features and enhancements based on hands-on expertise and customer insights.

4. Customer Support & Training

    • Conduct technical training sessions, product demonstrations, and installation guidance for customers.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor for troubleshooting, product setup, and system optimization.

5. Training Material Development & Online Training

    • Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive training materials—including presentations, manuals, videos, and e-learning modules—for both internal teams and customers.
    • Lead the creation and delivery of online training sessions and webinars to support product adoption and technical proficiency.
    • Continuously update training content to reflect new product features, industry trends, and customer feedback.

6. Market Insights & Trends

    • Stay current on pump technologies, competitor products, and industry trends.
    • Provide actionable insights to guide product development and marketing strategies.

7. Documentation & Reporting

    • Develop and maintain technical documentation, application guides, and knowledge base content.
    • Ensure all technical information is accurate, current, and aligned with industry standards.

8. Problem-Solving & Issue Resolution

    • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to product use or system integration.
    • Collaborate with engineering to escalate and resolve complex problems, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree in a technical trade, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in the pump industry, with a focus on installation, operation, and maintenance.
  • Prior experience in technical support, applications engineering, or product specialist roles preferred.
  • Relevant industry certifications preferred (e.g., Hydraulic Institute, Pump Systems Matter).
  • In-depth knowledge of pump systems, tools, and technologies, including diagnostic and maintenance equipment.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard diagnostic tools for troubleshooting and optimization.
  • Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Customer-focused mindset with excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects.
  • Self-motivated and collaborative team player.
