Zero Zone is a manufacturer of reach-in and open refrigerated and frozen food display cases as well as the refrigeration systems that work behind the scenes to cool the cases, keeping the food fresh! We also make powerful industrial refrigeration systems for food warehousing, pharmaceuticals, and even ice rinks!

Our company is structured across 2 divisions - the Display Case Division, located in North Prairie, WI, Waukesha, WI, and Mukwonago, WI and the Refrigeration Systems Division, located in Ramsey, MN and Dyersville, IA.

What Will You Do?

Under the direction of the Director of Operations - System Division, the Production Manager will provide manufacturing leadership of the Dyersville, IA plant to achieve schedule attainment and operating objectives set by the overall organization business plan. This individual provides hiring, promotion, and disciplinary action recommendations, as well as performance evaluation and feedback for direct reports. The Production Manager sets objectives and monitors the performance of the plant to ensure current and future production targets, quality standards and safety metrics are met. The Production Manager optimizes the talent within the organizational structure and fosters an environment to promote individual and team growth and career development goals.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provides production leadership of the Dyersville, IA plant to achieve schedule attainment and operating objectives set by the overall organization business plan.
  • Drives a culture proactively focused on Safety, supporting safety culture initiatives
  • Executes on monthly, quarterly and annual throughput goals.
  • Partners closely with the Continuous Improvement team to support initiatives across the division.
  • Identify, coach, and develop talent across the division to support their professional advancement and improve the business's operational performance.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements for Effective Performance:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (not required)
  • 10+ years relevant work experience across Operations, Continuous Improvement and Production Management Positions to include minimum of 3+ years direct management
  • Continuous Improvement, Lean practitioner background

Behavioral & Environmental Requirements:

  • Maintain a positive work attitude. Zero Zone expects all employees to behave and communicate in a manner which will facilitate good relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and supervisor.
  • Safety toe shoes and safety glasses are required while in production areas.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk throughout the office and production areas; have use of hands and fingers to use a computer, telephone, and other office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
