Job Summary

Cerrowire has an exciting job opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join our Operations Team located in Crothersville, Indiana! In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the operations of all production departments to ensure product quality, cost effectiveness, safe conditions, and customer satisfaction. Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversee production operations to meet targets for safety, quality, cost, and delivery.

  • Ensure safe work practices, lead safety meetings, enforce policies, and respond to near misses.

  • Supervise and support team members, drive engagement, communication, and culture across shifts.

  • Lead continuous improvement efforts (6S, 80/20, waste reduction, efficiency gains).

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Scheduling, and Distribution to align workflow and meet OTIF goals.

  • Manage labor: prioritize work, cross-train staff, approve time sheets, reduce overtime, and support hiring/onboarding.

  • Support plant initiatives and cost-reduction projects in labor, scrap, and usage.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment.

  • Strong leadership, supervisory, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Lean manufacturing training or certification

  • Strong analytical and computer skills (MS Office proficiency).

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Proven ability to operate independently and in small, multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Advanced organizational and prioritization abilities.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions:

  • Ability to maneuver through racks, aisles, and other areas of the plant.

  • May require physical activity including, but not limited to: Sitting, standing, bending, stooping, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), and walking (up to 80% of the day).

  • May be required to operate manufacturing equipment, including material handling machinery.
