Yachad Summer Programs is the largest provider ofSummer Programs for individuals with disabilities. With 25+ programs in the US, Canada and Israel, Yachad Summer provides essential integration and social opportunities for Jewish children, teens and adults with disabilities to attend summer camp just like their mainstream peers.
Yachad, a division of The Orthodox Union, the nation’s largest Orthodox Jewish organization‚ supports individuals with intellectual, developmental, and learning disabilities. Yachad helps these individuals participate more fully in Jewish life and the broader society by providing educational, employment,and relationship opportunities.
The Orthodox Union (OU) is one of the largest Orthodox Jewish organizations in the United States. Founded in 1898, the OU supports a network of synagogues, youth programs, Jewish and Religious Zionist advocacy programs, programs for the disabled, localized religious study programs, and international units. The OU maintains a kosher certification service, whose circled U symbol,Ⓤ, is found on the labels of manykoshercommercial and consumer food products.
Position Summary
As part of a team of three, the Program Administrator is responsible for communicating with parents and staff regarding all summer program needs. They are responsible for being the liaison with partner camps/programs pre and during camp and supporting the program director on site before and throughout the summer.This includes ongoing communication, working with office staff and interns, and arranging logistics for each program.Each Program Administrator has a specific caseload of programs but will communicate with the rest of the Administrators to be sure everyone is kept abreast of all situations.TheProgram Administratormust be organized and personable.
Essential Responsibilities
- Communicate with and provide support for all summer families
- Oversee financials for each program
- Provide support both logistically and administratively for Program Directors before the summer and while on site
- Communication and coordination with partner camp/programs
- Oversee staff hiring at respective programs
- Conduct oneself with professionalism and a strong sense of customer service
- Perform other related duties as required
Additional Responsibilities
- Some late nights and traveling during pre-summer and summer months will be necessary
- One weekend conference per year requires attendance
Qualifications
- Experience with management/supervision required
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Computer skills and proficiency with programs such as Microsoft Office Suite.
Salary & Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000, commensurate with experience.
